What is an Embedded Librarian?

  • Would you like your students to go beyond Google and Wikipedia searches to find authoritative, scholarly sources?
  • Would your students benefit from knowing which of the 100+ databases available to them are most applicable to their research paper AND how to search them?
  • Would your students benefit from being able to ask a librarian a question right in your Blackboard course?

Consider embedding a librarian in your class!

Embedded Librarians are librarians who work directly with (and within) your class to help your students locate, evaluate & effectively use information resources. The librarian is a member of your Blackboard (or in-person) classroom community rather than a supplemental student support service.
