Alumni Library Services

Personal intellectual growth, transformative experiences, and improving information literacy continue long after one's time at RU. This is a guide meant to encourage alumni to progress on their lifelong learning journey.

Publicly Available Online Materials

A warm thank you to the librarians at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for initially compiling this list of freely-available electronic databases of a scholarly nature.  If full-text is not immediately available, try taking your citation over to your local public library to see if their Interlibrary Loan staff can help find it for you.

Suburban Public Libraries

Use your local library card  for access to online resources, many of which are not available through the RU Library.  Public libraries will generally subscribe to Ancestry & Chilton's (for in-library use), Heritage Quest, Morningstar, ValueLine Investment Survey, and Reference USA, among others.
