  • Violin Musicstore, Mainz Germany, 2018This link opens in a new window This is a beautiful full size, luthier made cello from the wonderful Violin Musicstore in Mainz, Germany. It is in the format of the classic Montagnana Sleeping Beauty as played by YoYo Ma. I purchased it new in 2018 and fitted it with the finest quality equipment. It has an ebony fingerboard and pegs with a carbon tailpiece and endpin insert with steel pin. Upon deciding to sell the cello, I recently carved and fitted a Belgian bridge and completed the setup with a full set of D’darrio Helicore medium strings. The cello now plays and sounds beautiful. It is a professional instrument that will appreciate with age and usage, and is in first class condition, no cracks or scratches anywhere. It comes with a lightweight, composite case that not only protects the cello, but has music storage and wheels for ease of transport and a humidity meter inside. I will also supply two bows, one carbon and one mahogany hexagon, both in perfect condition, both East German. May 26, 2025

  • Visiting Music Teacher – OrganThis link opens in a new window Due to unprecedented demand for organ lessons and continued growth in interest in the instrument at Radley, we are looking for an additional excellent and inspiring organ teacher to join our organ team from September 2025. Currently, this would be for around half a day a week (around 5-6 pupils), but with potential for this to grow over time. The organ is a regular part of every boy's daily life at Radley. The whole school sings (enthusiastically!) in Chapel services five times a week, with weekly Sung Eucharist or Choral Evensong led by the 130-strong Chapel Choir. Organ pupils regularly accompany hymns and anthems in Chapel, or play voluntaries before and after services. Boys are regularly awarded Organ Scholarships at Universities and Cathedrals. Current former pupils are Organ Scholars at Magdalen College Oxford, Portsmouth Cathedral (then Selwyn College Cambridge from September) and Trinity Hall Cambridge.
