Research Databases

1. Research Databases (Research Guides by Subject): Ask a librarian for help in finding best databases for your area of study

2. Research Guides by Class: Some research guides have been created for class library instruction sessions


  • Consortium of over 80 libraries in Illinois
    • Check out materials from those libraries
      • Have them delivered to Roosevelt
      • Go to their library to pick up materials
    • Have access to their facilities with your Roosevelt ID
  • Log In using your NetID
  • With your library account you can manage:
    • Renew Checked Out Items
    • Check on status of Requested Items

Interlibrary Loan

  • Libraries, outside state of Illinois, throughout the United States & parts of Canada
  • You should always check Google Scholar & I-Share before requesting items through Interlibrary Loan
  • Click to access Interlibrary Loan Account
  • Orders take, on average, 7 days
  • Use Net ID & Password to access account
  • Access links to articles you have ordered
  • Track current and past requests
  • Use Interlibrary Loan account to access books from WorldCat Catalog
    • ​Note: These books have shorted due dates than I-Share, fines are high and cannot be waived
    • This is good option for obtaining rare or hard-to-find books

Books and eBooks

1. Select the Books tab

2. Select either:

  • Local Catalog Only
  • All I-Share Libraries

3. You have several options for finding books:

  • Finding books and eBooks from the Roosevelt collections
  • Finding books from I-Share (NOTE: You will not be able to access eBooks from other libraries)
  • Worldcat for books not found in Roosevelt or I-Share collections
