READ 374 Video Set-up

Overview

This is the section that causes the most anxiety. Just know that it will take a long time to do the upload.

First See If Your Mac or PC Will Recognize the iPad

  • You can drag the file over with your PC
  • You can drag or airdrop with Mac or transfer with iTunes

Helpful Tips If You Need to Upload to Google Drive

  • Make sure you have a strong WIFI connection
  • If possible, plug in the iPad
  • As long as you see uploading, you know it is working

Instructions

  • Select Drive app

  • Login to your Drive
     
  • Select the red plus sign in the lower right-hand corner

  • Select upload

  • Select Photos and videos

  • Select Camera roll

  • Find the video you want to upload and select it. You will notice a check mark in the upper right-hand corner of the camera roll box (a check mark will also appear on the video). Select the check mark in the upper right-hand corner

  • Change auto-lock to never (Settings/General/Auto-lock) or (Settings/Passcode lock//and make sure it is not activated). This might already be set but you should verify.
     
  • It takes about 25 minutes to upload a 25 minute video (You will see 1 of 1 uploading in the lower left-hand corner of the screen.) It is to your benefit if you can trim the video on the iPad/Phone before trying to upload.
