Using PowerPoint to Create Videos

Overall Process

1. Create PowerPoint slides

2. Add transitions and animations

3. Add background music (if desired)

4. Record voice

5. Record screencast (with narration if desired) NOTE: For Windows platform this is build in to PowerPoint. For Mac:

  • Record screen using Quick Time Player. Just open app and select File/New Screen Recording)

  • Edit in Quick Time

  • Move to Desktop or known folder

  • Insert into PowerPoint in desired location

6. Convert PowerPoint to video
