The most straightforward way is with direct import. RefWorks supports hundreds of databases provided by numerous data vendors. It is vendor neutral, so the direct import should work similarly wherever it is an option.
1. When in our catalogue or a Proquest database, in the search results or in the document page you will find an “export to Refworks” option. Select it:
2. If you aren’t already logged in to RefWorks, you will be asked to do so. A screen will appear asking which version of Refworks you will want to use.
3. Select the newest version of RefWorks. You can also select the checkbox so that RefWorks won’t ask that each time you export resources.
4. Your references will be imported into your RefWorks account, with an option to immediately place items into a folder, or place items into the “Not in folder” tab on your left sidebar in the Refworks interface.
1. Click the Add + button and choose to either "Upload document", "Import references", or "Create reference manually"
2. For uploading references, the information will be pulled from the source if you upload the document from your files. Importing, involves pulling from another citation manager, like EasyBib or Zotero.
3. For Create references manually, you will get a fill-in menu to help create a citation:
