  • Rene Bernardel Violin, Mirecourt, 1936 - Excellent ConditionThis link opens in a new window This is one of the finest Rene Bernardel violins! Based on a Stradivari model, the LOB is 357mm. It’s labelled “Rene Bernardel, Luthier, No.111 Annee 1936 Serie 4882 Fecit Paris”, also signed. The series is highest grade, and the precise/tasteful making shows this. It's also a really nice weight. This violin is suitable for professional soloist or orchestral playing! It has a darker warm and open tone. The response is extremely balanced and easy to play on. The setup standard is as high as possible, and has a professional bridge, fingerboard/nut reshaping, new French-style pegs, and soundpost cutting/adjustments. The violin is in near-mint condition. The body has never been opened, there are no cracks, and the violin bears its original fingerboard, nut, and saddle. We still have the original pegs to be given to the next owner! We truly love this violin. You're welcome to trial this in the UK. We're most happy to answer any questions. Jun 14, 2025
